Raquel Welch, Crucified
Yesterday Boing Boing linked to a site selling expensive poster art of Raquel Welch, gently crucified for publicity in connection with the movie One Million Years BC:
However, I went looking for a better-quality image and found (on a Flickr page I refuse to link because I purely hate when people claim copyright in images they don’t have rights to) instead a different shot that I like better:
Of course the instant I saw these photos, I thought of the von Keller image about which Faustus blogged here.

Awesome images. Raquel Welch was THE sex symbol when I was younger, and she’s still hot even today. Who can forget her scenes in the ship’s galley in The Magic Christian? Or as the temptress in the original Bedazzled?
[deleted — sorry Jaguar, but you knew the rule and broke it anyway. “Clearly it is” is not a sufficient reason to think you can ignore the “Photoshop or not” discussion ban. I value your status as a regular commenter but the rule’s there for a reason.]
I will concede that it may be subjective, but a woman’s sexiness seems to increase exponentially when tied to something.
…Though I would have preferred a St. Andrew’s cross…. ;^)
Wow…what a smorgasbord of delights. First, Raquel is absolutely gorgeous – who wouldn’t want a piece of her? Then there’s the religious angle, the oiled body, and let’s not forget the stroke to BDSM fetishes.
Oh yes. She can hang on my wall any time…
