Blowing A Seven Inch…Sandwich
This Burger King ad is so tacky I thought it was a spoof at first, but apparently it’s real and ran in print in Singapore:
The small print ad copy begins (and I am not making this up): “Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled with the NEW BK SUPER SEVEN INCHER. Yearn for more after you taste…”
Thanks to alert reader James for the tip.

Once while riding a bus in Singapore, I spotted a sign adjacent to some new construction: “This new erection sponsored by the Ministry of National Development.”
Maybe English is just different elsewhere…
Subtlety is just dead, isn’t it?
The english maybe faustus, but a picture says a thousand words, all 7″ of it.
Hey, at least they’re not afraid of the not so subtle innuendo! Hell, you couldn’t get even close to that in Haight Ashbury much less downtown Bismark!
It’s a proven fact – sex sells.
Even cholesterol-choked, fat-soaked, carb-crazed products like the seven-incher…
Finally an answer to that “Where’s the beef?” question?
You know what’s going to happen. Consumers will get used to it, and soon won’t be happy until they get at least eight inches…
SOmehow, this just takes Subway’s “$5 footlongs” one step farther … like the current Quizno’s campaign with the sub talking to the deli-counter guy … and way too many others.
