Chloë Des Lysses Liked It Up Her Ass
There were a couple of years there in the late 1990s when this image was the definitive “anal sex” photo that floated around the adult internet. There was just something about this woman’s cool, composed, cover-girl stare while sitting balls-deep on an anonymous cock that captured the zeitgeist of the times. This photo looked to an awful lot of people like the epitome of the in-charge-of-her-sexuality 1990s woman. Remember, 1998 was the year when Kristen Davis, as Charlotte York in the Valley of the 20-Something Guys (aka the infamous buttsex episode) of Sex And The City, famously fretted:
I can’t, Brian. I want to, but I can’t. I mean, actually no, that’s not true. I don’t want to. Or maybe I do. I don’t know what I want. But I’m afraid if I don’t, you’ll dump me. And if I do, then I’ll be the up-the-butt girl. And I don’t want to be the up-the-butt girl, because I mean… Men don’t marry up-the-butt girl. Whoever heard of Mrs. Up-The-Butt? No, no, no. I can’t. I want children and nice bedding, and I just can’t handle this right now.
Make no mistake: Charlotte’s friends, and the viewers, were laughing at her for this. She was a risible figure. And the photo at the top of this post was perhaps the most famous anal sex photo on the internet, at that very same time.
But who was our mysterious ’90s anal queen? Nobody knew. Seriously, there weren’t any reverse image search engines in those benighted days. It was a mystery, at least to most.
That was then. This is now. Through a fortuitous accident, I rediscovered “Chloë, The Queen Of 90s Anal” when I stumbled on this picture here, which is equally impressive in its own way:
At first, I was only planning to do a throwaway image post titled “What a View!” But y’all know me. At a minimum, I always have to look for a bigger and cleaner scan of whatever image I’m about to post. While I’m doing that, I might as well get some provenance. And that’s when I stumbled on the Chloë Des Lysse image treasure trove.
It turns out that the famous image is from the 1998 French photo book Chloë Des Lysse: Porn Art 2 by photographer Dahmane. The other one comes from Chloë Des Lysse: Porn Art 1, naturally; that one dates to 1996.
The books are worth your time. You’ll see a lot of Chloë. She doesn’t always have a dick up her butt, but let’s just say she could have taught Charlotte a thing or two.

What makes this photo so appealing to me is that though she has a very natural, girl-next-door look about her, she appears to not be at all timid about seizing her own pleasure. Just because a girl may genetically be born with such an innocent look, doesn’t mean that she doesn’t (or shouldn’t), enjoy finding her own personal bedroom pleasure via whichever erogenous zone she should prefer, and choose to avail her use of.
What a girl should choose to do with her lover, privately, behind closed doors, is none of our business and should be beyond our judgement. She looks to me like, at the very least, she would be a very fun date, and possibly life partner.
We should not be at all surprised that she has no facial expression of shame or pain, and to be so surprised, would be likely due to erroneous historical male porn constructs, and unfairly presumptive of us.
Like Bettie Page before her, she is a grand example of female pulchritude.
Once again, thank you Bacchus for finding and sharing such a fine image
Great find! I borrowed both book from the archive and saved each page (except for the totally blank ones), but made sure to include even the bar code page. Saved for posterity on a SSD.
I laughed out loud at frame 0022 in the first book; i owned at least 2 of those dildos/vibrators in the 80s and 90s, and I might have owned 2 of the others; if they were fully viewable and in color i would know for sure. The veiny one was a good one even after it lost its vibrating function and was made of cheap plastic.
the only episode of sex and the city that I remember liking (though i was not a regular viewer) was the one where charlotte was like “sure I do rimming…”
That is Quite a remarkable book!
Fuzzy, that’s excellent praxis for an uncertain world! You never regret the porn saved on your drives, but you do regret the stuff you saw and didn’t save, when it’s gone again. My experience, anyway!
Thanks for this remarkable finding, Bacchus! Pity these books can’t be found in the shops anymore. I saw a used copy of one of the two volumes proposed online at almost 250 dollars. Good porn sure is a good investment!
[…] It doesn’t look to me as if Belle Sparkles (aka Sophia Steel) enjoys this sort of thing as much as Chloë does: […]
I would love to see the spike in borrowing those books saw on the Archive after you made this post!
Woland, did you notice that the Archive lists the number of previews that a book has had? I didn’t make a note of them before linking, but presently one of the books has 4000ish previews listed and the other one, just 65. No idea how much of that is my traffic, but those numbers give you a sort of upper and lower bound on what the ErosBlog influence might have been. Considering that the lesser number is so small, and I linked both books in the same sentence, I am guessing I didn’t really send much traffic to those links. But who knows for sure? Not me!
I DID see that Bacchus, but came to the same conclusion you did that I couldn’t see the views over time.
I can look at this picture for hours…
And, yes, I went to the Archive, borrowed the books, and copied every image into my drive.
I was so enthralled by this first photo, and by what I saw in those Archive books, that I went down another rabbit hole to try to find out where Chloë is today and what she may be up to.
Ugh. It isn’t pretty. Chloë, now 50, describes her former relationship with photographer Dahmane as abusive. She claims he hit her, never paid her and still lives off exploiting her image. Chloë describes herself as a right wing anarchist (what you’d call a libertarian in the US); a vocally anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim, supporter of the extremist presidential candidate Marine Le Pen. Dahmane, who is originally from Algeria, successfully sued her for defamation and insult on the basis of race, religion or nationality. On a more positive note, after her career in porn, she became a photographer and has an interesting portfolio of big rock’n’roll names and the underground scene.
All of this could be gleaned, using my poor French and Google Translate, from a variety of social media links, including third party content both critical and supportive of her. A strong but unsavory (to my taste) character. Lesson learned: sometimes stones should be left unturned.

[…] Yes, it’s Chloë Des Lysse again, and she’s still the queen of 1990s anal sex. […]
