Smurfs: A Clarifying View
There was always something about the Smurfs that didn’t seem quite right, some gloss on their presentation that seemed to obscure their true nature. Finally, an artist (sadly unknown) has captured them as they really are:

Well I guess I have to say that I find this a more convincing extrapolation on what Smurf society was ultimately about than even the badass verions advanced by Sylvain Sarraihl. If you really want a Rule 34 challenge, try to overtake Sarraihl’s variant on Tintin or (perhaps more hazardous) Dora the Explorer.
There’s some artistic similarity, too. It’s not on DA, but I wonder if Tohad drew the instant piece as well?
