Under Patriarchy, A Transparent Spacesuit Just For Her
You can backstory and infill this pulp art as hard as you like, but there’s no way to reconstruct a storytelling universe in which a transparent spacesuit that’s just for women makes any kind of sense without ridiculous levels of patriarchal nonsense going down everywhere you look:
The (I’m going to bet) involuntarily pussy-flashing femme fatale astronaut and her hapless-but-clad-with-dignity snapped-tether space-walking companion grace the cover of Goldrake #211.

Not all women get transparent spacesuits, just Yvonne Craig.
The lady is a part of a far more technologically-advanced spacefaring culture, their spacesuits are safer and capable of transforming. The solar radiation is just right for a bit of spacebathing to increase vitamin D so the suit goes transparent to mild UV and visible electromagnetic radiation.
The bloke comes from a primitive spacefaring culture that is focussed on robbing other culture’s spaceships. She caught him and when he attacked her, so she disarmed him and put a shot though his tether which is now unravelling.
They are remaking Barbarella!
It may do better at the box office than the original…
