Yes, the one on the right has round breasts and a hint of a mustache. What of it?

How do we know that moustaches on mermaids aren’t perfectly normal? Maybe the ones without are the freaks. Putting human stereotypes onto other creatures could be seen as offensive.

ja, mermaids are (in theory) half fish and half human, so I’m not sure human stereotypes are as out of order as you suggest. But if all the mermaids on Twitter decide to dump the internet on my head, I shall strive to endure. ;-)
Ummm.. no. It’s an extremely full and dark (to indicate redness) upper lip, in keeping with that acquiline nose. Different times, different medium, different esthetics.
