Voting Is Prophylactic
Here’s a clever yard sign:
It says “Voting Prevents Unwanted Presidencies”. I like how it’s superficially non-partisan but has unspoken partisan teeth, in a moment where the candidates could not be further apart on women’s reproductive rights.

Never had to vote against Fascism so openly before on more than one level of the election (NC voter). As a child of the 1960s it is shocking and disturbing to me how many people don’t even seem to understand what Fascism is. Country before party.
I am lucky that in Australia our voting system (and some other factors) resulted in our Conservatives being kinda to the left of America’s “leftist” party. Not that the overton window isn’t shifting here too :(
Well, fuzzy, it was a living threat for my parents’ generation but they were children at the end of WWII. And they are gone. Very few who still remember that struggle are still with us, and how many of us never listened to our parents? So, unfortunately, we now have an entire electorate who thinks fascism is something that happened in black and white, far away overseas somewhere, and is an entirely closed book. When it arrives on their ballot, they think it’s just funny jokes at the expense of all the people they don’t like very much anyway.
